Ping Identity, a leading provider of seamless and secure digital experiences, today announced it has partnered with Akamai Technologies to deliver modernized, market-leading identity security solutions to Akamai customers via the PingOne Platform. As a result of this strategic collaboration, Akamai’s customers can now leverage the PingOne Platform which combines no-code identity orchestration with authentication, user management, and multi-factor authentication services to deliver seamless and secure customer experiences.
“Our partnership with Akamai Technologies is a further testament to our commitment in delivering the most modern, comprehensive, and proven identity security services, empowering businesses to deliver the best digital experience for their customers,” said Andre Durand, CEO of Ping Identity. “Together, we are setting a new standard for safeguarding identity and ensuring secure, seamless access in today’s digital world.”
As a result of the collaboration, Akamai customers will benefit from an enhanced identity security offering, which includes multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and directory capabilities, among other features. This will enable businesses to future-proof their customers’ digital experiences, without compromising security or satisfaction.
Ping Identity integrates seamlessly with the Akamai Connected Cloud Platform, including Account Protector and Bot Manager:
Account Protector is a security solution designed to prevent account abuse across the entire lifecycle of an account, using machine learning and a significant dataset of risk and trust indicators to determine the legitimacy of a user request. PingOne Platform ingests the Account Protector risk score for authentication policy decisions.
Bot Manager is an Akamai solution that helps customers better manage the impact of bots on their business and web infrastructure. This integration prevents malicious bot attacks from reaching the PingOne Platform.
“Partnering with Ping Identity to power our customers’ identity security capabilities was a strategic, easy decision, given the company’s comprehensive offerings and expertise,” said John Watson, VP of Security Business Development at Akamai Technologies.
