Ping Identity employees collaborated their services over the holiday season, with five offices worldwide taking part in our “Season of Pinging,” a global initiative to give back to our local communities during a challenging time of the year.
Impact
In Q4 of 2022, we were able to support and impact the following organizations:
Project Angel Heart | Denver
Living with severe illness presents challenges on a daily basis–being able to eat a nutritious healthy meal should not be one. Project Angel Heart’s vision is for all Coloradans living with severe, debilitating illnesses to have access to nutritious food that supports their health and well-being. Through in-person volunteering, Identians packed healthy, medically-tailored meals for clients unable to access or cook their own food. Identians packed more than 1,600 medically-tailored meals. In addition to packing bags, our volunteers decorated more than 60 meal bags to help bring colorful cheer to Project Angel Heart clients.
Round Rock Area Serving Center | Austin
The Serving Center Food Pantry supports a healthy food initiative by striving to distribute more fresh fruits and vegetables. Identians participated in a range of volunteer activities: receiving and sorting donations, stocking shelves, and helping clients shop and bag their food at the pantry.
Shalva | Tel Aviv
Shalva provides people with disabilities a holistic range of services: social and recreational activities, leading-edge therapies, inclusive educational frameworks, employment training, independent living, as well as respite and family support. Nine Identians joined nearly 25,000 participants in a 10K night run, and 6,500 NIS ($1,900) was donated directly to Shalva’s comprehensive services.
Movember Foundation | Vancouver
Our fathers, partners, brothers, and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Mental health, suicide, prostate, and testicular cancer are just some of the issues some men face in silence. The Movember Foundation is a men’s health organization focused on providing services to these critical issues men face every day. More than 30 Identians joined the Movember Movement in the month of November through a variety of fundraising activities including a walk/run, growing mustaches, and topping it all off by making a delicious brunch and discussing the Movember Movement. 4,700 CAD ($3,489 USD) and counting was raised in support of these endeavors.
Les Petits Freres Des Pauvres | Paris
Our community members in their elderly age face a host of challenges—with isolation and lack of communication being some of the hardest. Les Petits Freres Des Pauvres (Little Brothers of the Poor) caters to its elderly residents who lack proper financial, physical, and mental resources. Residents, many experiencing isolation, are given opportunities for companionship and networking, while also being provided with the physical materials needed to live. Identians raised 550 euros to purchase and donate warm gloves, scarves, hats, quilts, warm clothing, and cleaning and hygiene products. And with the balance of funds, they also purchased toys for kids at the Robert Debré hospital.
Post Pals | London
Post Pals is a volunteer-run charitable non-profit with a mission to put a smile on the face of severely ill children and teenagers. Identians are working directly with the organization through the month of December to create and send inspirational letters, notes, emails, cards, and small gifts to kids in need.
Cards for Hospitalized Kids | Virtual
Being in the hospital and battling a health condition is difficult at any time, but it is especially challenging during the holidays. Identians partnered with Cards for Hospitalized Kids to provide 80+ encouraging and inspiring cards to children experiencing severe ailments.
Ping Giving Trees
Denver Housing Authority | Denver
Denver Housing Authority provides housing to many low- and moderate-income households throughout the city and county of Denver. Ping supported 50 residents of a residential site focused on older adults and people with disabilities. Identians donated two comfort items to each resident including blankets, coffee, tea, mugs, and slippers—a total of 100 items!
Foothills Animal Shelter | Denver
Foothills Animal Shelter is an open-admission, socially-conscious shelter which provides humane care for animals. Identians gathered together to purchase and donate 50 fun and necessary items to animals at the shelter including treats, toys, beds, food, and medicine.
Settlement Home for Children | Austin
The Settlement Home for Children (The Home) serves children who have experienced severe emotional trauma, abuse, and neglect, providing 24-hour care to help children in foster care access the materials and support they need to restore and preserve a permanent sense of well-being. Identians donated necessary resources and toys to the children at The Home in the spirit of the holidays.
Austin Pets Alive | Austin
Austin Pets Alive! promotes and provides resources, education, and programs necessary to eliminate the killing of companion animals. Identians donated toys and necessities for the animals at the shelter.
Robert Debré Hospital | Paris
Robert Debré Hospital offers a wide array of care and services for children and pregnant women. They also strive to be a leader in research and development and innovation. Identians purchased three bags full of toys for children in care at the hospital.
