1. Connectors: Professor X
the mastermind behind it all
Professor X, of X-Men fame, is the powerful telepath who can connect to any person (or mutant) on the planet. Our DaVinci connectors are like that - giving you the option to connect your core Ping stack with any Ping SaaS service. Every SaaS solution, like PingOne Protect and PingOne Verify, has connectors for DaVinci. And with our hundreds of partner connectors and our generic connectors, you can pretty much connect anyone to anything. A connector can be thought of as a collection of related nodes or capabilities that you configure all together. Even more, we have journey templates - lots of them - so you’re starting with best practices.
2. Nodes: Guardians of the Galaxy
the squad with unique strengths
The Guardians fight the good fight as a group, but each has their own individual strengths. That’s like our nodes in Intelligent Access and PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud. Each node fulfills a unique capability in a user journey flow. We have nodes for universal services like PingOne Protect and PingOne Verify. They require no coding and minor configuration and can be thought of as capabilities within a connector. The nodes are in the middle of the journey, orchestrating each respective step, like a villain-fighting team that executes the plan to protect the Galaxy.
the liquid metal team player
Colossus is incredibly strong and an X-Men you can rely on to always show up when you need him. He’s also a team player, as evidenced by his work to recruit Deadpool and to mentor Negasonic. Our provisioning integrations for PingAM (formerly ForgeRock Access Management), PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud, and PingOne make connections across users and groups. Like Colossus, they enforce the rules (logic) across the team, securely and strongly, so you can take advantage of the powers of each.
the joiner of all heroes
Just as Nick Fury assembles the Avengers and runs S.H.I.E.L.D., our integration kits do the maneuvering behind the scenes to ensure each of Ping’s services that do not leverage orchestration can work together seamlessly. Want traditional APIs to connect your Ping solutions? Easy peasy. Whether you’re into REST, SDKs, or GraphQL, we’ve got the tools to make integration smoother than a coordinated defense to steal the Tesseract back from Loki.
5. SDKs: The Iron Man (suit)
the shell of all powers
Tony Stark changed the Marvel universe with the first version of his Iron Man suit. Over the many sagas of his life, he created all kinds of modifications to his suits until eventually, he had one suit to rule them all. Ping’s SDKs are like Iron Man suits. We’re currently in some of the early plots, where our SDKs are built with specific capabilities in mind. But as you heard on our roadshow, we’re working towards a universal SDK - one for all services and all capabilities. We’re making progress now. Take a look at the unified JavaScript SDK which works with PingOne, Advanced Identity Cloud, and PingAM. Stay tuned as the team advances toward unifying functionality across products into a single SDK platform.
Standards and protocols are like the unsung heroes of the tech world—they keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Our solutions support all the regular heroes: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM standards, and Kerberos, LDAP, and WS-Trust protocols. We also support up-and-coming standardization efforts, like those related to device wallets and decentralized identity.
