Full line up of speakers announced for Bristech 2016

Some of the technology’s brightest lights are among the newly announced line up for this year’s Bristech conference.

After sifting through 100+ submissions, organisers have selected 18 passionate speakers to present at the event, which this year takes place on November 3^rd at The Watershed. Sessions will cover a diverse range of topics from across the technical spectrum including new programming languages, DevOps techniques, web frameworks and approaches to security.

Speakers include:

• Tim Jarrett, Security strategist, and DevOps enthusiast at Veracode
• Jen Williams, Developer of linked open data tech at Networked Planet
• Dan Fairs, Founder, ex-Tech Director at Second Sync.

Bespoke software consultancy Scott Logic, the leading open platform provider of identity management solutions ForgeRock, and Dyson, the technology company that invented the first bagless vacuum cleaner, are the conference’s gold sponsors this year, and along with their fellow partners, are hoping such a diverse mix of speakers will help double last year’s attendance.

Bristech co-founder Nic Hemley, who is also Head of Development at Scott Logic’s Bristol Development Centre said: “We feel incredibly privileged indeed to be announcing such a strong line-up of speakers with local, overseas and female technologists.

“Our key task is to curate a diverse set of quality talks and our job is made so much the easier by the sheer quality of submissions. We will now be enthusiastically counting down the weeks to the event, and opening our doors to around 400 delegates on the day.”

Evolving from the success of the regular Bristech Meetup group, which was founded in Bristol in 2013, the inaugural Bristech conference was held as a sell-out event last October; early bird tickets for this year’s event have already sold out.
