Over the past year, Ping Identity has invested heavily in developing training resources for our customers and partners to successfully administer Ping’s products. In alignment with that focus, we are excited to announce the launch of our new Ping Identity Certification Program! With this new program, identity administrators are able to earn professional recognition in the identity and access management (IAM) industry and join an exclusive group of professionals certified in administering Ping products.
Ping now offers three certification exams for our single sign-on (SSO), directory and access management software products. All exams are proctored and delivered remotely.
- Ping Identity Certified Professional - PingFederate
- Ping Identity Certified Professional - PingAccess
- Ping Identity Certified Professional - PingDirectory
The Professional Level certifications require candidates to demonstrate an understanding of the product features and main use cases, how to install and perform initial configuration of the product, how to navigate the user interface, and how to perform basic server administration tasks (including items like what configuration files contain, the purpose of various log files, and so on).
Upon passing the exam(s), an individual will be considered a “Ping Identity Certified Professional” in the respective product(s), and will receive a digital badge along with a certificate.

While no training is required before the exams, we recommend taking Ping’s Administration courses as preparation (available in on-demand or instructor-led format) and reading our documentation to fill in potential gaps in product knowledge.
In addition, because a primary goal for our program is to provide a high value to individuals who earn our certifications, it's important that credentialed professionals have demonstrated knowledge on relatively recent versions of the fast-moving technology. As such, individuals earning these certifications will be required to recertify as we release new products and features.
